EM NARI members give generously to support the chapter’s scholarship fund. Each year scholarships are granted to support the educational goals of local youth.
EM NARI Family Scholarship
Each year the Eastern MA Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (EM NARI) awards one or more scholarships to a high school graduating senior who has been accepted as a full-time student to an accredited college or university in any program of study.
The applicant must be an immediate family member of an EM NARI member. The EM NARI member needs to have been an active member for at least 12 months as of June 1st, and be a member in good standing. The criteria used for selection may include, but is not limited to, academic achievement, community involvement and the general essay from the application. The scholarship money is intended to be used for educational purposes only. The decision made by the panel of judges is final.
EM NARI Trade Scholarship
New in 2015, EM NARI awarded its first Trade Scholarship. Students who are graduating seniors pursuing a career in the remodeling industry are eligible to apply. Funds are used for education or training expenses, or for tools and materials useful to those beginning their career in the industry.
In May 2015, the inaugural Trade Scholarship was awarded to John Piotrowski, a graduating senior from Blackstone Valley Technical School. In John's remarks after receiving the award, he thanked the members and the review committee and talked about his experience at BVT, his family's history as carpenters and his career plans which include pursuing a degree in the fall at the New England Institute of Technology with the hopes of someday owning his own remodeling company focused on restoring historic homes. VIEW JOHN'S THANK YOU LETTER TO THE MEMBERS. Good luck John!
THE 2017 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PROCESS IS NOW CLOSED. Check back in early 2018 for the next awards cycle.
