Committees
Joining a committee is a great way to get involved with the EM-NARI. Below is a list of the
various active committees that all depend on the hard work of member volunteers to make
the chapter flourish. The input and guidance of committee members are vital to assure
that the various initiatives of NARI are being executed in a way that best serves the
wants and needs of the greater membership.
Membership
Develops and implements plans and events to grow the membership, best serve the current
members and promote member renewals.
Programs
Plans the monthly dinner meetings, including their format, subjects,
and guest speaker participation.
Education
Puts together all Chapter education and certification programs, including the Certification Study
groups, as well as the monthly Chat Rooms.
Public Relations
Charged with obtaining positive press coverage for the chapter's programs and events and strategizing the best methods to
obtain for NARI a presence in the minds of consumers.
Web Site
Develops the content and navigation of the chapter
website, including the online membership directory.
Newsletter
Consults as needed with production, editorial, and
advertising sales that make up the monthly newsletter.
Awards
Plans all aspects of the annual EM-CotY Awards program, from entry packets,
to judging, to execution of the Evening of Excellence, including all aspects
of promotion and logistics for the awards entries and event.
Golf Tournament
Plans the Chapter's annual golf tournament as a positive networking and social event for the membership as well as a
fundraiser that meets the financial needs of the organization.
Ethics
Within prescribed guidelines, responds to all issues that may arise with regard to complaints
about a member, specifically a consumer grievance or member-to-member grievance.
Government Affairs
Monitors and reports on relevant legislative, governmental, and regulatory issues, primarily at the state level, that impact the remodeling industry. Acts
as an industry representative advocating for the best interests of the industry as needed.
Cape Cod
Plans monthly Cape Cod dinner meetings and works to build
participation and membership growth from the remodeling community on Cape Cod.
Wheelchair Ramp
Executes and directs all
elements for an annual wheelchair ramp building project to a family in need.
