In August, we had a great turnout at the Audio Concepts Summer Beats & Sultry Eats event and raised over $1,500 dollars for our scholarship fund. I would like to thank Audio Concepts and John Puccio for sponsoring this event, as well as thank those who contributed to the fund.

September brought a sold out crowd for our Inspectors Panel membership dinner.  Thanks to Sterritt Lumber for sponsoring this event.  Also this month, we enjoyed a very successful golf outing at Shaker Hills Country Club in Harvard, MA.  Thanks to Bill Farnsworth for once again doing yeoman’s work to pull this great event together.  Also, thanks to our Titleist Sponsors CPS HVAC, Sterritt Lumber, Pella and Needham Bank and all our event sponsors and golfers.

Michelle Glassburn and the members of the PR Committee have worked feverishly on our newly revamped website and a host of other important events.

On September 4th EM NARI participated in a job fair for veterans at Foxboro Stadium. This event was arranged by National NARI with the goal to attract veterans to work in our industry. Many of our members express a concern with finding skilled labor as their companies grow to meet the increase demand for remodeling work. This event presented a unique opportunity for our members to speak with those who defended our country. Our military men and women are well trained and possess many skills and traits that make them great potential employee candidates.

October brings a number of great learning and networking opportunities.  On October 1st, Andrea Goldman will present “How to Operate as a Home Contractor and Stay Out of Trouble” at our dinner meeting.  Later in the month, we will have an education day at Audio Concepts with unique seminars followed by member networking.

Be sure to mark your calendar for Wednesday, October 15th for our annual membership drive outing hosted this year by Sterritt Lumber.  This is the perfect opportunity to have a hamburger, hot dog and a beer, with fellow members and bring new contractor guests.

I hope your fall is filled with fun and spirits and look forward to seeing you in October.

Sincerely,
Mark Paskell, President
The Contractor Coaching Partnership, Inc.
