2014 EM NARI Scholarship Awarded to Son of LeBlanc Contracting/Watch City Kitchen’s Designer Anna Mahan

Gary Morrison, EM NARI Board Member and Chair of the Scholarship Program presented the $1,000 award at the June membership dinner meeting. Ryan Mahan, son of LeBlanc Contracting’s Anna Mahan is a 2014 graduate of Matignon High School in Cambridge.
A student leader throughout his high school years, Ryan was the Vice President of the National Honor Society, organized school support for “Cellphones for Soldiers” and sent care packages to the troops. Ryan also played hockey at Matignon and was the captain of the school’s golf team. Ryan has been accepted to a number of colleges, but told the crowd he plans to attend UMass Amherst to continue his studies.
Ryan is the son of Anna Mahan, a designer at LeBlanc Contracting / Watch City Kitchens based in Waltham. Owned by Tom LeBlanc, the group has been EM NARI Members since 2010. The LeBlanc family has been serving Waltham and surrounding areas for almost 70 years, whether through Thomas LeBlanc & Sons Electricians, LeBlanc Contracting or Watch City Kitchens.
EM NARI offers an annual member scholarship program. Throughout the year, EM NARI members donate generously through programs like our 50/50 raffles at dinner meetings, auctions at events like our CotY Awards, and at our vendor hosted networking gatherings. EM NARI members, including employees of member companies, are eligible for the scholarship program. The award is to be used for educational expenses. Eligible students include high school graduating seniors who are immediate family members of an EM NARI member and have been accepted as full-time students to an accredited college or university in any program of study.
